Why not venture further afield and try some of our favourite places located in the surrounding countryside?

Rojales – Viloriens – Fantastic restaurant in an old farmhouse full of history and set in beautiful gardens. Quite hard to find but well worth the effort, the food is excellent with a menu to suit all tastes. Booking essential at busy times of the year and for Sunday lunch ( 966712263).

Rebate – Restaurante Rebate - Standard Spanish fare with some excellent, some good and some average dishes. Menu del Dia is around 12€ including wine. The best part though is the location right beside a tiny church, beautiful terrace and gardens, a duck pond and an ostrich pen (yep!)

San Miguel to Torrevieja Road – Rancho Blanco – Set right in the countryside just north of the motorway, and reached via a single dirt track, this grill and barbeque restaurant has been a popular choice with tourists and locals for over 20 years. Beautful setting, friendly service, kids play area, big portions and the food´s not half bad either!
