Los Alcazares – Rosalinds – Very smart modern restaurant with a fabulous roof terrace in the main commercial centre by Mercadona. Serves snacks or full menu and the service is quick and friendly…reasonably priced too.

Torrevieja – Meson de la Costa – Fantastic Spanish restaurant with huge bodega (wine cellar) and live lobster tank. Superb but expensive, definately one for special occasions although you can sit at the bar and have a few tapas and take in the atmosphere if you´re a bit strapped.

San Miguel - Bistro Orquidea - Belgian owners who have built up a loyal clientele with great food all day. We love pancakes for breakfast or as afters and mussels are a delicious speciality for lunch or dinner. Menu changes all the time and its always good!

San Miguel – Market Street - Stylish international restaurant with great food and regular specials. Service is quick and friendly and there´s usually a good atmosphere. Sofa area too for apres dining or lounging after with coffee and brandies.

San Miguel – Shalimar – Ever popular with the Brits, this Indian restaurant is one of the best around. All your favourites on the menu plus a few specialities and you will always get a friendly welcome.

San Miguel – Las Cuevas - Cave restaurant stuffed full of old Spain, the hosts are always happy to show you around before you pick a table, often in its own little cave area. Traditional Spanish dishes dominate the menu and if you are lucky Madam Rosa will sing for you. See our review here

San Miguel – Frissan – International cuisine with a decent menu and friendly service. Decor is smart but cosy, atmosphere relaxed and the food is nicely presented and cooked just as you like it. Not too pricey either. See Andy´s review here

Los Montesinos - La Herradura – A taste of Olde Worlde Spain filled with memorabilia from its former days as a farmhouse. A bit touristy but always has a great atmosphere, particularly in the summer when they have flamenco shows on the terrace. The food is very good but if you are watching your wallet, stick to the set menu. See Andy´s review here
